Question Switching workspaces with a single button

Hello. I am an Ubuntu Hardy user, I have it installed in a Dell laptop. Does someone know how can I switch workspaces with a single key? Let me explain, I can use ctr+alt+left/right to switch between workspaces, however, as I usually use just two workspaces, It would be great if I could switch between both of them with one of the multimedia buttons. One button for switching to the left and right. The preferences -> keyboard shortcuts menu shows combinations for going left, right, up and down in workspace, but not CYCLING between them (I guess that would be the thing...).

    Thank you.

Re: Switching workspaces with a single button

Thanks, but I am not using compiz. I have found something here:

    http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-762859.html

    But the last post says:
As far as using the home key to toggle between screens, I don't know if that is possible. There is no option to do that in gconf-editor.
I guess that means there is no way to use a single key to cycle between workspaces...

    Any other suggestions?
