    kubuntu networking

    howdy. i have an inspiron 1420 with ubuntu on it. i installed kde4 via synaptic, and when i change sessions into kde, i have no internet access what so ever. i have no idea how to get to a network manager to troubleshoot the issue. please help me?

    You could try dhcpcd. It's available through the command:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install dhcpcd
    and runnable with a command identical to it's name.

    okay, i ran it, and nothing happened, i ran it with eth1 and eth0 just in case.
