hardware works but only speakers, and volume and microphone are enable in mixer, headphones work, used them earlier today, well yesterday when i had vista 64 and 32 along with xp 32 installed, and it worked perfectly with them, but i decided to wipe my drive for Ubuntu Linux which even though it has less flashing lights and increase in speed and stability. i would rather have my headphones work, not only because they're pretty good, but i mostly listen to music on my comp, and now i can't at night.

any help would be appreciated
