dolphin for KDE4 insists on single-click mouse action

How do I change that? System settings are already set at double-click, and I tried undoing and redoing this, to no avail. Is there a way to change this within KDE4 dolphin?

I just did this, and I confirm it does as told - double-click. However, I'm using kde4.1beta1. I don't know what version you have.
Also, close and restart Dolphin after your changes at system-settings. It may help.

I did notice that I still have the old version of dolphin installed. Would that make a difference? Also, the new dolphin doesn't seem to have a panel icon. Odd, that.
