[SOLVED] how to install warcraft three and get it to work!!!!!

hey all i'm running hardy here and i've got whats supposed to be the latest version of wine i even have world of warcraft working on my box but for some reason when i try and load up and play warcraft 3 it does the lil start up screen then goes black like its getting ready to start the game accepte it just stay black and does'nt do anything any help would be much apreciated thnx in advance guys

Maybe it's related to resolution? Have you tried changing settings in the ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/World\ of\ Warcraft\ Trial/WTF/Config.wtf file?

Browse to your install directory and delete the movies folder, after that it should start up perfectly fine.

Can you tell me what did you do to play on battlenet?I have no problem with the game, but I can't connect to Battle.I press the button and it just says "Initiating connection to Battlenet..." and stays there indefinitely.
I would appreciate any answer.

Hey, this might work for you;

Instead of clicking "Battle.net" click the magnifying glass and chose a server.

This might or might not work for you but this worked for me when i got an error

also it is cool when you configure wine to emulate a desktop, then you can play windowed and do other things at the same time (bit slow though)
