[SOLVED] Wireless support in Ubuntu but not Kubuntu?

On both my PowerBook G4 and a PC with an Intel P4, I installed Ubuntu 8.04 and was able to get WPA/WPA2 wireless support easily enabled (Broadcom fwcutter). But if I restart in a KDE session, I either lose the wireless right away or eventually. I can't seem to find an equivalent network setting in KDE that enables me to set up access to my university or home server (both WPA2 protected). Is there one in Kubuntu?
