    Cannot find release ubuntu 8.04 in update Manager

    I check my updates as i read here: http://www.ubuntugeek.com/upgrade-ub...rdy-heron.html
    but i don't see the new distribution. Can anyone help me? (i am newbie linux user)

    One way to upgrade from gutsy to hardy is to edit /etc/apt/sources.list and change all instances of gutsy to hardy. After that you can use apt or aptitude to dist-upgrade.
