    Exclamation Help! Cdrom device disappeared!

I noticed at first, that it doesn't eject when i press the button. Before booting the Linux kernel, the cdrom works ok. I don't have any files like /dev/cdrom or /dev/scd0. Tried both on the latest rt and generic kernels from the repos. I am not a complete noob any more, but i just don't know how to start fixing it or where to start searching.

From desktop can you double-click Computer, and then do you see your cdrom drive? If so right-click and see if the "eject" will open the drawer.

There is not any cdrom device listed there.
