    Question On-board graphics&Compiz-Fusion?

    Hi all
I have Compaq Presario computer and I want to install Ubuntu 8.04.

'lspci' shows me that I have a on-board graphic controller:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8378 [S3 UniChrome] Integrated Video (rev 01)
Is there a chance to run "compiz-fusion"?
Do I need a special driver? If 'yes',
where from do I get it?

I thank you in advance for any reply/tip/hint/thought/idea!

I'm not sure if that chipset will work with Compiz or not, but it's worth a try!

Go to System > Preferences > Appearance, and then select the Visual Effects tab. Choose the Normal option and see if anything changes. If you get a dialog that asks if you would like to keep your changes, then Compiz is up and running. If you get an error message, then most likely your VIA chipset will not run Compiz.
