Have you tried GyachI?
I know it does file transfer and webcams work perfectly. It also does rooms and apparently has voice support, though I haven't gotten it to work yet.

you can use skype and leave yahoo

There is nothing that is better for Yahoo Messenger on Linux that Gyachi ,I don`t know why it`s not more widely used
