This is a bug in the Hardy version of wine.
Pls install wine 1.0RC3 directly from wineHQ -
http://www.winehq.org/site/download-deb
it will give you the instructions on how to add the source to your repository. after you do, run update manager and you'll be directed to download the 1.0RC3 version.
