    Compiz and video playback

    Compiz and video playbac
    Does any one had a problem playing movies when copiz is on and resulting black screen but not a motion picture. This happens with all movie player.I have installed Koffeine and gnome movie player.When Compiz is off movie players woks just fine.
    Does some body has a solution how to watch movies with compiz on ?

    it could be that you don't have a powerful enough video carc. but im not sure...i dont use compiz

    Do you have compiz-switch ? You can turn it off and on at the touch of a button. It's here.

    This is a bug in the driver for the integrated intel video card.

    You can use VLC and go to settings/preferences then check the box in the bottom right for advanced options then go to video/Output modules and change the video output module to X11

    well in mplayer you can try the XV setting and you also might want to try xine
