    trying to set up my epson v200 photo scanner

    Hi i'm following a guide to set up my epson scanner, the guides url is

    but im having some trouble installing alien to convert the package from rpm to debian, could someone please help me with this, how can i install perl? cheers anthony

    what's the problem installing alien in ubuntu?

    you can install it from System/Administration/Synaptic Package Manager -set a search for alien

    or you can install it by opening a terminal and typing:

    sudo apt-get install alien
