    Cannot boot from Live CD

    hello all,

I have been trying to boot from the Live CD that I have created after downloading the i386,iso image from Ubuntu. I am attempting a dual boot installation on a macbook, purchased May 2006. the spec is as follows

    Intel Core Duo 2.0 ghz
    1 gb RAM
    250 Gb HDD

    OS X 10.5.3.

I have REFIT installed, however whenever I reboot the CD is not detected. I have held down 'C' countless times and still the I cannot boot from the CD. I have attempted several different CD's, at the slowest speed that I can bun and still no problems.

I have created a partition using BootCamp.

If anyone has any ideas what I am doing wrong, or any suggestions regardless of plausability I am open to them all. If anyone wants any more information just ask.

I have searched this forum adn have not found a thread pertinent to my problem, butif anyone knows of such a thread and can direct me to the thread I will be very grateful.

    Thanks in advance.

Problem solved: I used Disk Utility instead of Toast to burn the disk image.
