    8.04, usb mouse lag/spikes

I have installed a fresh Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04, everything is ok except I get mouse lags/spikes from time to time, like the mouse stops for a 0.5/1 seconds, or just drags slowly.

    ue@ue-desktop:~$ uname -a
    Linux ue-desktop 2.6.24-17-generic #1 SMP Thu May 1 14:31:33 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

    Mouse :
    /etc/X11/xorg.conf (logitech vx revolution) :
    Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "Configured Mouse"
    Driver "mouse"
    Option "CorePointer"
    Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
    Option "Protocol" "auto"
    Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
    Option "Emulate3Buttons" "false"
    EndSection

compiz & emerald work with out any lags/spikes at all

    top for Xorg :
    Code:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
    30224 root 20 0 417m 111m 6756 S 10 5.5 6:25.31 Xorg
