Hey guys. I was surprised to see that Ubuntu automatically set up my wireless card for configuration upon installation. But I have a small problem. I get pretty low wireless signals (43% to 67%) which is very strange to me considering that in Windows, I ALWAYS have a 100% signal. Always. As a result of the low signal, I don't get very good speeds in the Update Manager (highest I ever saw was about 45 kb/s). However, I do get normal speeds in Firefox and other applications (web pages load instantly, files download at 200+ kb/s) so that's strange too.
When prompted for my wireless card info, Terminal spat out the following:
Thanks for any help you can give me guys.Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express A
dapter (rev 01)
Subsystem: Atheros Communications Inc. AR5006EG 802.11bg NIC (2.4GHz, PCI Express)

EDIT: I should also mention that I'm very close to my router.
