    Yup. the best thing about cplay is that since its CLI, you can simply ssh into the machine and start up the app - not that it would be of great use if you are not home - you probably cant listen to the music. but i normally use my laptop while the music is in an external drive connected to an old P3

    Well,

    Try mocp (music on console). Its a command line application to play music for you. specially if you spend a lot of time in console/terminal. Very easy to go back and forth in background and foreground.
