Annoying Resolution Troubles In WINE

Hello everyone. I use wine to run Executable files on my Ubuntu operating system, which is pretty straight forward for those of you who know what WINE is. But recently I'm having a strange problem with it.

After installing an NVidia video driver on Ubuntu, and restarting my Laptop, the resolution to the Wine configuration menu was wayyy out of whack. I have a screenshot of the problem just in case that is to anyone's convieniece. If you can't seem to find the problem here, could you point me out to another Emulator that can help me out just as WINE would do? Thanks a bunch in advance. Email me if that is what you need to do. I simply reinstalled wine 1.0 release, all troubles are gone.

hi, i have the exact same problem with wine, and i'm running wine-0.9.59 on ubuntu 7.10. should i upgrade wine to 1.0? how did you solve this problem. Sorry, I'm really new with ubuntu.
