Any reason why it would not work?

    Re: IDE Hdd Enclosure

No reason at all. I have purchased several IDE HDD enclosures -- one was defective (harddrive didn't spin up) but the vendor replaced it. They all work. I DID have to format one Hard Drive while it was connected via IDE to the computer -- for some reason, the system did not detect it properly when it was connected via the enclosure. But once I did that, it worked fine (two years later it is still working perfectly).
