    2 video cards?

    Hi,
I'd like to install Ubuntu on my pc, but before I do I need to clarify whether I'll be able to configure two video cards.

At the moment (in XP), I have my primary monitor running from an Nvidia AGP card, and this is flanked by 2 more monitors running off an ATI PCI card. The desktop is spanned over all three monitors, with the taskbar on the primary (centre) screen.

Will I be able to do this easily in Ubuntu, and if so, how?

Mixing Nvidia and ATI...i really doubt you will be able to get that config the same in linux... ATI and nvidia's linux support are quite lacking compared to Windows. It is a real pain to get ATI drivers working sometimes and I have never heard of anyone attempting to use two cards of different brands at the same time.

I'm not sure since they are running in AGP and PCI...Your best bet would be to ask on the nvidia linux forms here: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/foru...p?s&forumid=14

I have dual monitors on the same video card and I know that works great, however managing two cards that arent in SLI...im not quite sure. The experts over there at the nvidia forums should be able to help though.
