Angry What configuration file 8.04 is using now?

I used 6.04 - 7.10 and they use the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file to store the configuration values such as color depth, modelines etc etc. But I found xorg.conf file is not used to store those configuration valuses in 8.04 and somebody said the xorg.conf file is not being used anymore, if this is true then what/which configuration file is used in 8.04? Thanks for answering.
