I was following a tutorial posted on Pen Drive Linux (http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2008/04...drive-install/) on how to install Ubuntu on a USB Hard Drive. However, upon booting up, none of the systems I tested could find the boot sector, although one mentioned something about GRUB. The only thing I did differently was not unplug the internal drives, as I didn't feel like I was so stupid that I would click the wrong drive. Would this impact the success of installation?
