mythv problems scanning channels

Hello,

I keep getting this error while trying to scan for channels in mythtv backend setup. This happend on mythbuntu as well.

It detects the card correctly and after setting up everything I goto scan for channels and it doesnt matter what parameters i set, it still returns the error "Error parsing parameters".

mythtv setup terminal doesnt seem to return any error at that point.
The DVB card seems to function correctly since it works perfectly on Kaffeine.

Any ideas?

Hey!

I have this very same problem going on. Everything works well kaffeine but when I try to scan channels with mythtv it wont work and gives the same error. Am I maybe doing something wrong?

Alright it was all me. It scans now but Im having problems with the scanned channels but I wrote a new post for it (here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1016210)

I just checked the frequencies, modulations and that symbolic speed thingie from my cable provider and put those in to the boxes and thats it. I mean check all the boxes in there and it should scan.
