Re: Do You Struggle For Programming Ideas?

Planning out programs isnt easy... some programmers draw their stuff out on flow charts and plan the program's structure.
Nobody instantly can just program a good project up.. takes time to plan it out..
I sometimes stare at the screen for a little while figuring out how I'm going to approach solving the problem cause there's so many options in programming.
Some programmers can take hours before they get into the flow of things when writing a program.
So to answer the question the best I can.. programming isn't easy and it takes time.

I struggled with ideas for programming projects until I started learning a new field. Biology has TONS of open projects that need quality software engineering. Image processing is fun, extremely difficult, and needing some high-performance software tools.

So, I answered no Once I started learning new problem domains, entire new worlds of software projects opened up. Now for the unsolicited advice: If you can't find a good field for creating software, check out sourceforge.net, where project dev's and admins are constantly posting help wanted bulletins.

Ubuntu Brainstorm has plenty of ideas to start working on... so no, I don't!

C isn't a bad language I know C (not too bad at it). I think a lot of C++ CLI app's could be written in C rather than C++

I have the opposite problem, I struggle with too many ideas and not enough skills.

    And man-months. Need more man-months.

Cool. Are you learning that for fun or are you doing computer science or something as well? I'm doing computer science myself but we have to learn BASIC.
