I have a Fujistu A3130 and I tried putting 'options snd-hda-intel model=fujitsu' into the alsa-base, but upon restart absolutely nothing changed with the speakers playing sound with the headphones plugged in. and it came back with the ALC262 codec.
Is there a way to do this if I get N/A under my codec (AD1983) instead of details within ALSA-Configuration.txt.gz?
I'm able to check the box within Volume Control and mute the front speakers, but I feel like I shouldn't have to do that every time I plug in headphones.
Thanks!
I too had this problem with my older Toshiba laptop. Installing ALSA 1.0.15 fixed the problem.
If you install Hardy the headphone speaker thing works just fine. Hardy uses ALSA 1.0.15.
Windows, only good for gaming.
Thanks so much! Awesome.
Code:options snd-hda-intel model=vaio
fixed it for my Vaio.
Thank you so much!
.
mine does not work with this work around
i tried all the option in my laptop
I'm using blue wseries (radon)
my current ver. of alsamixer is v1.0.17rc1
after putting this word
options snd-hda-intel model=hp
i tried it in diff option in the bottom. still no luck.
ALC260
hp HP machines
hp-3013 HP machines (3013-variant)
fujitsu Fujitsu S7020
acer Acer TravelMate
will Will laptops (PB V7900)
replacer Replacer 672V
basic fixed pin assignment (old default model)
test for testing/debugging purpose, almost all controls can
adjusted. Appearing only when compiled with
$CONFIG_SND_DEBUG=y
auto auto-config reading BIOS (default)
Any help would be highly appreciated.
thanks
I think this fix only applies to Intel HDA sound cards. So make sure it is Intel HDA first.
Are you using a laptop?
Try
options snd-hda-intel model=laptop-hp
or
options snd-hda-intel model=laptop-hpsense
These are other HP options I saw in that list, worth a try until someone else comes along who might know more.
.
yes i'm using a laptop Blue radon Wseries model its the same ODM of HP so i'm using the Option for "hp"
