Amarok file formats
I have noticed that Amarok only plays the majority of my mp3's but not all of them. It tells me that some files are unable to be played. I solved this by converting all my music files into mp3 (even though some were already mp3). What files types does Amarok not support or why does it only play certain mp3 files?

Out of the Audio Format Support, Amorak supports all of these except APE, and Musepack and AC3 are partially supported.
MP3 WMA RealAudio Vorbis Musepack AAC AC3 APE FLAC ALAC SHN WV
It does not support DRM.
