There is no such thing as privacy anymore! It does not exist. It is an illusion.

Google solves almost all my problems. It's the best troubleshooting tool.

Instead, I use Ixquick.com, for privacy.
Although I agree with you about google and privacy, I -sadly- haven't found a better search engine on the net (and I've tried clusty, altavista, yahoo, and others I don't remember now). I simply find lots of stuff on google I don't find in other search engines (didn't know about ixquick, though. Have to give it a try).

Luckily, since I'm not searching about how to make home-made bombs, I don't have much to worry about (j/k).

I always try google first for my ubuntu questions. In fact, I've only ever had to make one thread here asking for help (it was about a rather obscure network file system my school used). All of my other problems have fallen in the face of persistent googling.

Whether I am searching how build bombs or not, that should be my right to privacy, which google nor any other search engine should cache against me.

All this datamining they do, can easily be spoofed by using a proxy, which in turn gets someone else's IP cached for searching for bomb building, instead of mine.

Do you ever have to pay for your questions to Google?

Why are you building a bomb?
If at first you don't succeed - just buy the company and tell them to make the one you want.
