[SOLVED] Where did my application go?

Hello all,

This is my second day of using Ubuntu, and I just installed something called KAddressBook as a proposed solution to my last thread. Now I have a new problem: I can't find it!

Specifically, I installed it via Applications -> Add/Remove programs. And indeed, that tells me that the program is still installed! How can I now find it, and more importantly, add it to my applications menu?

Also, following the advice on this webpage, I then installed menu-xdg. It didn't fix the problem. Should I now de-install that?

You may just have to enable it in the menu editor.
System->System Admin->Menu Editor (going from memory...at work now)

Or "alacarte" from the command line.

I installed a few things that I think I had to go enable in menu editor before they showed up.

KT is right, soemtimes stuff doesn't show up in the menu right away. But i've always found what iw as looking for int he menu editer.

I'm new to Ubuntu (and Linux in general) too. Just installed it a week or so ago.
