    Angry No WLAN connection?

Hi there everyone, I have recently installed Ubuntu 7.10 on my Dell Vostro 1000 Laptop. It's wonderful, but the bad thing is that I can't get the WLAN switch to turn on. You hold Fn and press F3 and the light turns on, then WLAN works fine. But for some reason it won't turn on. I know the Fn button works, because it worked to turn scroll lock on. (How I tested it..) Anyone have any tips? Thanks very much!

EDIT:: Okay guys, I tried plugging my old D-Link in and connected to my dad's router, and it worked. It connected when it was plugged into a D-link... Might help the situation? I can't always have it connected to a D-Link though.

What driver are you using for the wireless; is it at all recognised? Post back if you want to know how to check.
