Sony VAIO PCG-922L screen resolution problem

I installed Xubuntu hardy and everything works great except that I only get 800x600 with a wide black border. Googling around I haven't found a solution that works. Attached are my xorg.conf and xorg.0.log files, tarred and gzipped. Any ideas?

Try Applications->Settings->Settings Manager. It's been a while since I've used Xubuntu, but you should be able to configure your monitor resolution there. BTW; Xubuntu is really slick.

I tried it and it didn't work for me. Indeed, 915resolution -l gives me an unknown chipset error. I commented on a related launchpad bug report and emailed the 915resolution developer. This is an old laptop of my mom's and I'm hoping I don't have to reinstall XP.
