Hardware Advice MB with HDMI + RS232

Hi all,


Im looking to upgrade my media center which is currently based upon ubuntu and mythtv.

I am going to buy a new dual core CPU and motherboard. The motherboard is where I am having trouble - I cannot seem to find one which is matx form factor , has HDMI (with AUDIO) and a single RS232 serial port for my lirc receiver.

Any advice/ recommendations welcome.

Before I look deeper , I was wondering if anyone here might know about HDMI in ubuntu - specifically audio. Is there anything I should look out for or avoid when getting a new mb? Most of the time I think the hdmi simply takes a spdif passthrough. I could be wrong.

thanks for the reply. But looking at gigabytes website that motherboard doesn't have RS232.
