    Uhh... how to put this.. I've tried everything with VMware and have gotten no where so I've given up on it till it shows up in a repository. Thats why I started this thread, to find alternatives.

    Ah, that's a very good point

    Alternatives, hm, have you tried Virtualbox or Xen?

    I do not think VMWare will show up in a repo because it's not open source, but I could be wrong

    I know Virtualbox and Xen are opensource (i think)
