suspend/hibernate what are the commands?
I just tried out the options for hibernate and suspend in shutdown menu.
Hibernate shut the machine down but starting was not very succesfull - the screen remained black. On the positive side the suspend worked, no glitches and it was faster. What is the difference of these two.
Also, I was thinking about trying the suspend out with my media-pc running mythtv. How do I launch it with command line? Is it possible to wake-up from suspend with acpi wake-up timer? How can I disable the machine from asking a password after wake-up?
Re: suspend/hibernate what are the commands?
Right click on your quit symbol. Click on help tab and type hibernate in your search box. Information on PM-Action (8) should answer some of your questions.
