    Upgrade Problem

Everything worked fine when I had 7.10 but when I attempted to upgrade to 8.04 I get

    [ 29.918392] ACPI: acpi_ec_wait timeout, status = 0, expect_event = 1

    and

    [ 29.918441] ACPI: EC: read timeout, command = 128

every time I try to boot up

I have a Vaio VGN-N395E, the specs are here

Sorry if this was posted already, but I really didn't even know what to search for because I have no clue what's going on.

Edit to Add: I'm duel booting with vista if that helps at all

    Re: Upgrade Problem

If you can its better to just wipe your partition and do a fresh install of Hardy. I would stay away from upgrading if at all possible because you are almost guaranteed for something to break. Do you get this when booting into recovery mode?
