Help w/ Mythbuntu and Comcast Digital cable

    My setup:

    -Mythbuntu w/ 1 gig ram & 1ghz AMD Athlon
    -Wintv-PVR 150 (with hardware encoder built-in)
-64meg video card w/ TV out

    -Comcast, with DCH3200 HD Box

-52in Sony Wego with any input. Currently from TV ---> DCH3200 thru HDMI.

How do I go from the DCH3200 to the Wintv-PVR 150 and get a signal to download channels?

I know they will be getting rid of analog next year, so I thought I could get at least 70 channels on my Mythbuntu box through the digital box? How can I accomplish this?

You can connect your cable box to PVR150 via S-video and RCA for sound. You will not be able to capture HD resolutions but you should be able to get any channel you subscribe to.

You will need to set up ir blaster for channel changing.

I assume you pc does not have firewire port. Firewire can be used for capturing HD content, and for channel changing. I don't think your specs are up to the task for playback.
Nothing is ever easy, but if it is difficult you must be doing it wrong.

And just to be clear, they are only getting rid of analog OTA broadcasts, not analog cable. Analog cable is mandated by the FCC until 2012.
