Unfortunately attempting to drag a Places bookmark to the recycle bin / trash can doesn't work. Deleting Places menu items isn't easy (I have yet to figure out how, after an hour of trying).

In order to remove an item from the Places menu:
Open nautilus and right-click the item in question (from the Places list on the left). Select "Remove" from the menu that pops up.

    Thanks!
Does anyone know if it's possible to make the places menu able to browse, I mean for it to open the contents of, say, my "documents" folder like the way "recent documents" folds out? That is, without me having to click it and that get the file browser

You can use this applet for that, it's fairly nice :
    http://code.google.com/p/gnome-menu-...rowser-applet/
    It's in the official repos.

    Greetings.
