[SOLVED] [PPC] Dual Boot Panther and Hardy Help

    Hello,

I am attempting to dual boot Panther and Xbuntu Hardy Heron.

I am told Parted can resize my HFS+ Partition, but I need to know if it still works for the Xubuntu 8.04 Alternate CD.

    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=89960

Failing that, does anybody know of a HFS+ Partition Editor, (preferably free)

Thanks in Advance for your help.

I'll try the link above tommorow on my imac g3 (slot-loading) to see if it works, but it's a total blind shot in the dark.

parted should be the same on all the installer and alternate CDs. so if it works on one it ought to work on another.

you may need to disable journalling with the mac os disk utility.

Re: [PPC] Dual Boot Panther and Hardy Help

I have Disabled Journalling on my Hard Drive using Disk utility.

When I try to partition using the Xubuntu CD - it says that HFS+ support is not yet implemented, so I burned a Debian CD, and partitioned it sucessfully using the Debian CD. I will now installl Xubuntu in the free space (tried installing Debian- it didn't work)

    The thread is solved.
