If dreamweaver is really important to use, you can use WINE to use it.

Well, there is this software called KompoZer. It must be in the repositories. Its the successor of the famous nvu, and is quite good.

    PS: No, its not KDE

Dreamweaver with wine? It doesn't work anymore, at least not for me, it open the splash, then just shuts down.
Anyway, KompoZer isn't bad. You could also try Amaya, just be sure to temporarily turn off compiz when using it or it will really act strange.
    I disable it by using
    Code:
    metacity --replace
in a terminal and to turn it back on:
    Code:
    compiz --replace
You can just close the terminals after you entered those by the way.

    Cheers

This could also be a really awesome time to learn to code web pages without a wysiwyg.

I've often found those kind of prog's unreliable in their representation of the end product., leaving me to desire the actual browser it will display in as the engine of showcase.

My favourite tool for this is gEdit :

    • keywords recognised as they are typed and replaced with smart script blocks.
    • file browser
    • line numbering
    • code colouring
    • multi-document
    • search/replace through multi-documents
    • project manager

But conversly, for flash editing...I wouldn't use anything other than the actual offical Flash Development Studio.
