    Scanner hardware : recommendations

    I'm looking for scanner hardware supported by Ubuntu 7.10.
    Which types/brands are recommended ?

    HP, certainly, and the multifunction printer, copier, scanner HP Deskjet F 2180 works faultlessly in 7.10, so I presume also in 8.04, (not yet tried it on my install of 8.04).

    Others also, I imagine from Epson, as they are usually well supported.

    Yes, interesting to see it not mentioned, but if I remember correctly, it is certainly shown as supported on the HP website and the page for hplip.

    I would recommend going with an HP scanner. I have a Microtek and it stinks.
