Question Ubuntu 8.04 cannot connect Creative Zen Vision:M

I was able to connect my creative Zen Vision:M to older versions of ubuntu using Gnomad2 and other tools.

On 8.04 when I connect it is not found. Whats worse its not even listed in lsusb:
    Code:
    Bus 008 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 007 Device 003: ID 1058:0901 Western Digital Technologies, Inc. <-- External HDD
    Bus 007 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
    Bus 006 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 413c:2005 Dell Computer Corp. RT7D50 Keyboard <-- Keyboard
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 046d:c051 Logitech, Inc. <-- Mouse
    Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0e8f:0003 <-- This looks like its the Zen... not sure.
    Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
    Bus 005 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
    Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
    Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
When plugging the zen in it automatically turns on (as it would when it detected it connected to something). Also the wires have been tested on other hardware, they are not bad.

    Anyone else have this problem?
