    running miro with nvidia driver

Has anybody succeeded in running miro using the nvidia driver in Hardy? If I install the driver, miro dies when it tries to play a video, and if I uninstall the driver it runs fine again. I'd really like to use the driver because without it Stellarium runs too slow to be used.

    TIA for any secrets.

Re: running miro with nvidia driver

OK, worse yet. The latest set of updates to Hardy (5/15 notification) busted miro so that when attempting to play a video it plays about 7 seconds worth and then hangs up completely. This occurs even without the nvidia driver.

Dunno what I did, but I fixed the problem caused by the updates, but still can't use the nvidia driver. Ah well.
