    Prompt for Administrative password

Every time I start the root terminal for the first time it dosen't start. Only the "Starting Administrative Application" appears on the Panel, and stays for about 10sec, after it disappears. The next time I start it works perfectly and prompting for the password.

Is there a workaround for this problem?

    Re: Prompt for Administrative password

What about if you just run:
    Code:
    sudo -s
I do not use Ubuntu any more, nor have I ever used Gnome. Therefore, I tend to give advice that is distro- and DE-agnostic, which, while perhaps not the easiest way, will allow you to move freely between machines.
