    Accessing Windows files from [x]ubuntu

I followed these directions and got file sharing set up between my xubuntu desktop and a laptop running xp: http://www.simplehelp.net/2007/05/19...ers-in-ubuntu/

Now I'm able to access xubuntu folders from xp but I don't know whether I can go the other way. How do I find out? Where do I go in xubuntu to look for the windows folders?

Also, the printer connected to the laptop shows up on the laptop as being shared, but when I try to print from xubuntu it doesn't work.

Can I get bidirectional file/folder and printer sharing going by the simple method laid out in the link above?

    Thanks,

accessing your windows laptop from xubuntu should be fairly easy.

you should be able to access your shared folder via pyneighborhood or you could use fusesmb e.g.

If you're using 8.04 there may still be some issues regarding accessing password-protected shares. Please see my sig, bugzilla, and launchpad.
