Can't use external LCD or Projector with Hardy

I cannot use an external LCD or a Projector since I installed Hardy.
This is a clean install, not an upgrade.
The PC is working fine, Graphic Card and drivers are OK, no problem at all. Fn+F3 (what this notebook expects me to press to activate video on the VGA port) makes no effect. I used to work when I was using Gutsy or Hardy Betas. I am using the same xorg.conf that I used back then. I've attached it here. Using the empty xorg.conf generated by dpkg-reconfigure doesn't solve the problem.

When I ctrl+alt+F1, I can see the image on the external LCD or Projector. The problem is inside X.
Using Gutsy LiveCD I get image on the external LCD or Projector.

    Tips?
