    Question Can't get IP address

Hi, I have Ubuntu 8.04 on a Dell Vostro 1000 and I use Wifi-radar to manage my wireless networks. For some reason it detects the networks just fine (and my wifi light is on), but when I try connecting to one, it can't get the IP address automatically. I don't want to have to put it in manually, since I never had to before I upgraded to Hardy.

    Any suggestions?

go to applications -> network and then disable the roaming mode in your wireless. All you need to do then is put in the essid and the wep/wpa key and you're all ready to go.

All this means is that you will have to search for a network when you move to another one, no big biggie
