    OpenGL vs. Compiz

Sorry to bother you all again.
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy) and I'm able to run Visual Effects without a problem. Also, I'm able to play 3d games but here it starts my issue. If the Visual Effects are on the 3d applications flickers all the time, it's quite annoying. But... if I just disable them I'm able to play everything smoothly.
How do I solve this to run both at the same time?

based on my own experiences you don't...

but in my opinion you would be better off not running compiz and opengl games at the same time, due to performance issues (you will get better performance guaranteed running your games in a non-composited environment)

Hmm, I'm not concerned about the performance yet. But if there's not a way to turn around this issue... Thanks anyway.
