i install ubuntu8.04 and i was want backup all my files on a cd and have it if something go bad with ubuntu that can put in the cd and it will restore it back to the way i had it is there any program that will do on a dvd-cdr

all of your important settings and personal files will be located in /home/username. Just use brasero and copy /home/username on to a CD/DVD

Also there is no need for big font. It actually makes it harder to read.

EDIT: also look inot remastersys. This will allow you to make a custom ISO that will install ubuntu with all of your programs. So if for example you removed evolution and installed thunderbird it will include this and do it for you automatically.
