    Hardy doesn't open DVD menu

    Hi,

Why does Hardy not open an interative DVD rom at its menu?

It just plays a seemingly random section of the interactive content.

    This is using Totem.

    Any advice well received!

    Thanks

    Si

You should install libdvdcss. I use kaffeine and i haven't faced any problems

Hmm, libdvdcss isn't available in Synaptic.

I found libdvdnav4, "which provides an interface
to the advanced features of DVDs, like menus, navigation, etc."

Doesn't make any difference to my Totem player tho!

    ---------------

I ended up just installing VLC. Seems odd Totem doesn't support this tho.

These things don't work with Totem-Gstreamer. Full DVD support with proper DVD menus will work only with Totem-Xine or Xine-ui or VLC
