ok guys... I use my computer for recording. I have two M-Audio delta 1010 PCI cards installed. The breakout boxes are at the studio, and I never use these cards at home. At home, I use a presonus firebox. I don't plan on doing any recording in ubuntu... All I want to do is route the ubuntu sound (mp3's, dvd's etc), into jack, so I can hear them through my firebox. Right now, using ALSA, sound is routed to my delta1010, which does me no good... and I have no idea how to change it. For some reason I don't have hardware manager either (so I could disable the delta cards in ubuntu). I'm pretty sure I have jack and freebob set up correctly. I'm getting a blue light, which is good. I just gotta figure out this routing problem. Any ideas?
