    Dual boot winxp.

Nothing is actually wrong. No problems. My question is however. Lets say you have a legit copy of winxp running off another partition/hardrive and I was wondering if it were possible to be in ubuntu and to essentially boot up that windows partition so you have full compatability of the real windows and no problems similar to that of say Wine or whatever.

You cannot boot up that partition virtually AFAIK. You would have to install another copy of windows as a virtual drive in ubuntu using something like vmware or qemu.

I have never done this myself, but i suspect you may run into problems when it asks to be activated - as you already have an activated copy on another partition using the same licence key. But as i say i have not done this myself so i dont know exactly how that would work. Im sure someone who has done this could answer that for certain.
